Our first homeowner is happily moved into her new Earl’s Court home!
Our own Molly Conn stopped by the Earl’s Court site today! Construction on the first four lots is continuing to move along. We’re excited!
Earl’s Court is a new development in the popular Old Village area of Mt. Pleasant. The development (about to break ground) will feature cottage-style homes with comfortable, functional space. These custom homes will vary in size from 1,000 square feet up to 1,700 square feet and no two homes will be identical. This video represents a floor plan that was built in I’On which will also be built in Earl’s Court.
In an answer to New York City’s housing shortage, the City has named the winning design for fifty-five 400 square foot micro apartments which will be built in mid-town Manhattan. The new apartment design will be part of a new exhibition at the Museum of the City of New York. While we previously mentioned that smallest of homes in Earl’s Court will be at least double the size of these apartments, it is still interesting to see how the trend in smaller living is really taking on throughout the country!
Now this is what we call creative storage! Pretty amazing what they were able to fit into such a small space. The homes at Earl’s Court will be significantly larger than this apartment but it still gives us some inspiring ideas for innovative storage.
Over the weekend, our masons were hard at work laying the stone for the main street in Earl’s Court, Rose Wilder Lane. Take a look at the video above capturing the placement of the cornerstone–an exciting moment for everyone involved! After a weekend of great weather and hard work, we came back to a completed street on Monday! It looks beautiful.
Lot 5 is the second two-bedroom home in the first phase of Earl’s Court. This unique floor plan has over 1,200 square feet plus a gorgeous second-story balcony. The open first floor has a family room, kitchen and dining nook plus a bedroom with access to the back patio. The upstairs makes the most of the space with a laundry room, office nook at the top of the stairs plus a large bedroom with a walk-in closet and full bathroom. A true highlight of the bedroom is its private access to the second-story balcony–where you can enjoy a morning cup of coffee or afternoon glass of tea! Visit the Earl’s Court website to see each of the available floor plans.
